Thanks for the dl. This album has definitely not reached the hype. Aside from a few beautiful moments, this is a huge misfire for Akerfeldt and Wilson. If you can't sleep at night, put this on and you'll have no trouble.

they never said it was gonna be heavy. in fact they said it was going to be the opposite of heavy. you can watch an interview that Akerfelt did saying how you would expect a collab between the two of them to be heavy as shit, but in fact it was the opposite. awesome album

It's been clear that Mikael has REALLY been into progressive as of late. Since Heritage, and then the signing of Ghost, which I'm sure Mikael might be a part of. And then this, I love his progressive. I don't know why these metal elitists are giving him such shit for this.

Don West always comes on here bashing great albums...he's just looking for attention.

That being said...he's also an idiot for thinking that a collaboration between these two would spawn a death metal album...Porcupine Tree is progressive rock...Just because Wilson is Opeth's primary producer doesn't mean they'd get together to make a death metal record...

It's like you've never even listened to Damnation, which is one of their highest rated albums to date...The subtleness and beauty within that record and for that matter, Opeth's softer passages are clearly way over Don West's head...

Damnation is one of the best albums to chill out to, late at night with a few grams of some headies, and just vibe the fuck out...

I'm sure this album will be no different...

I'm packing the bong right now.
