Tolkki who? Man, this band is reborn and then some. Best album since Destiny, as far as I'm concerned.

Is this really as good as everyone says??

I thought Timo Tolkki or whatever his name is, was long gone from the band and it went downhill since, no??

If you guys are into progressive metal with tons of shred guitar - check out the band OmnisighT

Scapegrace,

Actually, it's the opposite. They've been reborn and more creative than ever since he's been out.

Polaris was already much better than Elements Pt. 2 and the horrible self-titled, Elysium was even better and Nemesis is a culmination of what Strato is all about and to me is their best since Visions. Mattias is one hell of a guitarist and Nemesis is a witness to that.

smile Amazing album, indeed! I gave it some time for a listen and to let it grow in my head to appreciate it for all the details. Powerful album!

I think that it would not be right and would not even be fair to compare current line-up with the times when Timo Tolkki was there. To me, these are two different bands. They are both great in their own way and they both could achieve their own greatness. I have deep respect for Timo Tolkki and his music. He went through a lot of personal struggle and it always reflected in his music, as he fought his inner demons, tried to find himself, tried to recover from the past and find light in the future.

Timo Kotipelto, in his own turn, found strength and the courage to go on with the rest of the guys and Mattias without the shadow of the past and making their own music, letting it be unique and powerful. smile

Of course, I'm still hoping that Tolkki will get back to giving us some music in the future. fellow

Fucking amazing ! I've been disapointing by Elysium but, this, this is one of the best metal album I've ever heard. And I'm not a great fan of Stratovarius !
